The Alabamian has been UM’s student newspaper since 1924 and covers a wide variety of local news, features and entertainment. We take pride in providing a forum for the views of members of our community and accurately reporting the news to our readers. The Alabamian gives aspiring journalists, copy editors, photographers and page designers a publication for developing skills, and making friendships that last a lifetime!
The Alabamian is entirely run by students of the University of Montevallo, and is independent of any influence from University officials, faculty or staff.
